- Town Center at Boca Raton
People Advocating the Haven (PATH)
recently held a secret-agent-theme scavenger hunt, "Mission
Possible," at the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton. More than
85 attended.
"It was exciting watching PATH agents scour the mall to
reveal clues, uncover top-secrets and find those elusive
spies in the name of good fun in support of formerly abused
and neglected children at The Haven," said Gregory Brooks,
PATH chairman and youth volunteer. "Today's event helps the
children at The Haven know the community cares about them,
and they are not alone."
The event raised more than $5,700.
The Haven, in Boca Raton, is a residence for children who
are victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment. The Haven
helps children develop self-esteem, independence and
important life skills. Since 1978, The Haven has served more
than 1,000 children.
The Haven is the only private, long-term, not-for-profit
group residence for boys 11 to 18 in Palm Beach County. The
Haven relies on donations to supplement the funding needed
to provide comprehensive care to the children it serves.
