"Haven Heroes" Program

For more than 30 years, The Haven has provided a home to more than 1,000 foster youth. Our multi-faceted program includes tutoring, counseling, life skills and work readiness and is designed to support our mission. Our mission is to foster the development of each young man's self-esteem and independence in a safe, loving and stable alternative home. We work as a team to make each day one of balanced satisfaction while teaching the skills necessary for our boys to become self-sufficient and proud adults.

We can only provide this high quality program by supplementing revenues received from state contracts with donations and gifts from businesses, foundations and individuals. It is difficult for any nonprofit to establish a consistent, recurring source of donations and gifts to meet on-going operational expenses. To overcome this challenge, The Haven is offering a monthly giving program called Haven Heroes.

Haven Heroes agree to provide a small, easily managed recurring gift, suggested at $25.00, $50.00, $75.00, $100.00 or an amount of their choice. Individuals giving monthly gifts of $25.00 or more will receive a beautiful lapel pin with a gemstone corresponding to their level of giving. Businesses and organizations will receive an elegant plaque that they can proudly display in their offices.

More importantly, Haven Heroes know that their recurring, budget-friendly gift, when combined with the gifts from other Haven Heroes, will make a significant difference in the lives of our boys.

To become a Haven Hero, simply complete the enrollment form on the bottom of this webpage and return it to The Haven. Your information will remain confidential.

You can become a Haven Hero with one of the following options:

Check
Return the enrollment form to The Haven with your first check. Each month thereafter, simply mail your check in the amount of your gift to The Haven, with "Haven Heroes" noted on the check.

Credit Card Charge
Return the enrollment form to The Haven with (1) the amount of your recurring gift; (2) your credit card of choice; (3) your credit card number and (4) the expiration date. The Haven will automatically charge your gift to your credit card on the first day of each month.

EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
Return the enrollment form to The Haven with the amount of your recurring gift and a voided check. Our partnering bank will complete the EFT process and automatically deduct your gift from your account on the first day of each month.
