March
14, 2008 (Boca Raton, Fla.) - The Country Club at Boca Raton, located in Boca
Del Mar, selected The Haven, an alternative home for young men ages 9 up to 18,
to benefit from the club's annual men's member-guest golf tournament that was
held March 6-9. From special tournament events and individual club member
donations, the club raised almost $43,000 for The Haven.
"This was the first time that the club selected a charity to benefit from our
yearly tournament," said John Pastorello, chairman of the golf committee. "This
year, we wanted to make the tournament special and use it to give back to our
community. By creating a special event for our members, we knew we'd be in a
position to really help out a local organization. We were humbled and honored to
help the young men at The Haven."

to make such a generous gift to The Haven," he said. "The success of this event
was phenomenal. John Pastorello and his golf committee really did a tremendous
job in hosting a fun tournament that benefited The Haven."
The three-day event included golf each day, followed by elaborate theme dinners
at night.
