July 16, 2007 (Boca Raton, Fla.) - Jarden Consumer Solutions (JCS), through its
Community Fund, has awarded a gift of $10,175 to The Haven, an alternative home
for young men ages 9 up to 18. The money will be used for The Haven's Early
Essentials for Work Readiness program, a year-round program that teaches The
Haven's young men employable skills and knowledge.

"The employees who donate to the Jarden Consumer Solutions Community Fund
recognize The Haven's outstanding record of achievement in helping to improve
the lives of at-risk youth," said Rocki Rockingham, JCS vice president,
community relations and communications. "We are proud to partner with The Haven
by providing this grant for its worthwhile programs."
EEWR is a non-traditional, team-learning, work-readiness program for The Haven's
older teens, 15-17, and those as young as 12, teaching job/business skills,
financial literacy and the value of work and its rewards. It incorporates the
top ten competencies required by employers and was designed to assure workforce
preparedness by the time The Haven's young men leave care at age 18, as required
by the State's Road to Independence Act.
The Jarden Consumer Solutions Community Fund is the Company's employee-funded
charitable giving entity. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the JCS Community Fund
provides monetary grants to qualified charitable organizations that engage in
community development initiatives (focusing on at-risk women, families and
youth, low-income families and food programs) that serve the communities where
JCS employees live and work. More information can be found on the Web at

The Haven is an alternative home for young men, ages 9 up to 18, who have been
placed in our protective care by the State of Florida. Our program is designed
to foster the development of each young man's self-esteem and independence in a
safe, loving and stable alternative home while teaching the skills necessary for
them to become self-sufficient and proud adults. The Haven is an accredited
organization through COA, the Council on Accreditation and has received three
consecutive four-star ratings from Charity Navigator, a national charity
watchdog. For more information on how you can help the young men at The Haven
