April 17, 2007 ( Boca Raton, FL) - The Haven is
pleased to announce the receipt of its third consecutive four-star rating from
Charity Navigator. According to Trent Stamp, president of Charity Navigator,
only 8% of the charities rated have received at least three consecutive 4-star
evaluations, indicating that The Haven outperforms most charities in America in
its efforts to operate in the most fiscally responsible way possible.
"This is an enormous compliment to how we run our organization," Don Stewart,
executive director, said. "There are only three other charities like The Haven
that received four stars in Palm Beach County. We want the people of Boca Raton
to know that not only do we appreciate their continued support of our boys, but
that we are careful and accountable with every gift we receive."
Charity Navigator evaluates ten times more charities than their nearest
competitor and they attract more visitors to their Web site than all other
charity rating groups combined, making them the leading charity evaluator in
America. Last year, Charity Navigator visitors gave more than $3 billion in
charitable gifts.
Charity Navigator is America's premier independent charity evaluator. They help
charitable givers make intelligent giving decisions by providing in-depth,
